Exhibition Hire

Each exhibition at Nicolls Glasgow is unique so please do get in touch to discuss your requirements. In the meantime, here is some general information about our space.

Our main space is at street level and is wheelchair accessible however due to the age of the building our WC is not wheelchair accessible.

Given the age of the building, our walls are the original walls therefore we recommend using our hanging system, Please discuss your requirements with us and we will be happy to advise on the best solution for your work.

Utilities and Wi-Fi are included in the hire.

Please ensure that your artwork is insured.

No commission is charged on sales.

Exhibitions of artwork are required to be invigilated – we can provide this service if required.

Install and de-install of your work is discussed and a tailor made solution will be arranged.

Gallery Capacity

Please note we estimate standing room up to maximum 30-35 people.

Opening Nights

Invitees/guest list

We will cross-promote the exhibition across our network if appropriate.

As we are in a residential area, we recommend your opening evenings be via private invite only.

Planning & Hosting service

For a small fee, we can help you plan your event from managing your guest list to serving drinks & canapes to ensure the smooth running on the night. Just let us know what you require.

Events timings & curfew

Our curfew is 9.30pm and we ask that any music be at a reasonable level given our residential location. Please respect our neighbours when vacating the premises. We advise all evening events wind down at 9.30pm and you vacate the space by 9pm.

We advise you have your own relevant insurances.

Housekeeping

The premises measures 320sqft/29 sq. metres. There is a WC and small kitchen area with fridge.

Artists easels and display cabinet

We have a wooden easel and two ironwork easels which you are welcome to use. We also have a modern display cabinet which can be used to showcase products.

Ladder

We have a ladder that can be used to access our adjustable spotlights and hanging system,

Tables & chairs

We have a 6ft trestle table and 8 chairs for your use. Please speak with us to discuss any further requirements.

Glasses

We can provide wine glasses for your event. Should any breakages occur, we ask that you kindly replace.

Please respect our space and do your upmost to vacate the space as you found it. In the unlikely event of any permanent damages to the space, you will be responsible for the cost of the repairs.
